This program serves to provide the fundamental of deep learning, as well as how to utilize deep learning for computer vision, which is one of the most common application for IR 4.0. This program consists of two components. First is the theory, which introduces deep learning architecture and techniques that has been utilized nowadays. Next is the practical, which teaches participant how to prepare your input data for your deep learning models, building your own deep learning models and how to utilize them in computer vision applications.
This program aims to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge about deep learning fundamentals, as well as the skills and techniques to utilize deep learning in modern day applications, such as computer vision.

Data Automation and Analytics for IR 4.0 mainly cover 2 essential areas namely data automation and data analytics. Data Automation program provides a hands-on approach towards the application of retrofitting data from a machine for easy monitoring and control system via a dashboard. This program also provides the participant with key fundamental competencies to evaluate machine effectiveness for production enhancement. The program also includes a data analytics syllabus which provides a hands-on approach towards the application of machine learning algorithms to analyze data sets produced and stored to make effective estimation and predictions for decision making. This program provides participants with the key fundamental competencies required to scale up and perform Big Data Analytics (BDA).
This program will provide participants to be able to utilize the data generation concept for system monitoring and control, together with the implementation of machine learning algorithms to analyze data sets utilized in day-to-day operation to perform estimation and predictions to support effective decision making.

Data Science and Analytics for Industry 4.0 program is designed to train talent in data science and analytics (e.g. data analyst, data scientist, etc.) needed by the industry that required the applications of data science and analytics in their operations. The program will provide competency-based content such as data analytics, data visualization, predictive modeling, and other related modules with the aim of producing an industry-ready workforce. With the numbers of data generated, collected, analysed, monitored, and stored increasing exponentially in various industries, this field provides a potential career development in this emerging area.

The program is designed to prepare post-degree candidates and business leaders for new developing interdisciplinary fields of the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0. The program will cover important ideas, tools and skills emerging in this area, such as RAMI 4.0, Cyber Physical systems, RFID and IOLink. This programs also will provide hands-on approach towards the Machine and IoT gateway integrations to connect the Machine with the internet world.

The program focuses on Microelectronic (Semiconductor) and related (Electronic) industries with essential skillsets, knowledge and practical hands-on required by job functions and are missing in fresh graduates or unemployed retrenched individuals. They include design concept, methodologies and newer technologies.
The participants are provided with a comprehensive introduction into the specific industry with hands-on projects and case studies, in addition to training lectures and notes.
The course topics and modules are selected to reflect the current industry’s job function, demands and requirements, quality and recognizable certifications of an individual. The program is designed fully on-line and therefore removes the physical barrier of classroom venue. All hands-on design work and projects are provided through web-based application software. Participants and partnering companies are welcome regardless of location in Malaysia, enabling the perfect match.
The objective of this training is to provide fresh graduates or unemployed graduates and opportunity to skill and educate themselves for applying a job in the semiconductor related and/ or electronics industry. The course is a comprehensive essential knowledge and skill building for performing various job functions in a design, manufacturing, assembly and test environment. It provides the participants specific terminologies, concepts and methods used in electronics industry. These are valuable insight and an advantage to effective communications in the specific industry. At the end of the training, participants will be certified by international or industry recognized bodies such as IPC (Electronics industry) after successfully completing the requirements.

Due to the declining cost of solar, the market is forecasted to grow very rapidly at about 30 percent per year through 2015 and then at a rate of 25 percent per year until 2020. This implies an increase of 100 times in solar share by 2020, when it would account for 5 percent of renewable energies and 1 percent of global energy supply. This will translate into global cumulative installed capacity of 560 gigawatts, with annual demand of 113 gigawatts and RM918 billions of revenues in 2020. Asia will drive a significant portion of this demand and supply by 2020. This demand trend is expected to continue over the next few decades, and solar is predicted to account for as much as 25 percent of global energy supply by 2050.
Should domestically use of PV begin to ramp dramatically in line with the experience of other countries, labour and skills would likely present the next bottleneck in deployment. A few skills will be required to install PV systems that may not currently be in abundant supply or ready to instantly port over for use, including wiring and racking, engineering and design, and system monitoring and certification. These skills are well understood in other places and training programs can be made available to people with similar skills or appropriate qualifications to gain precise capabilities in the solar sector.
To ensure that Malaysia can cater the human capitals in this development, SEDA Malaysia have developed courses to provide Malaysians with the skills needed in the RE sector focusing in Solar Photovoltaic and have made it mandatory that installations under the Feed-in Tariff mechanism must be done by certified competent persons to ensure that the installation quality and safety are up to Malaysian Standards.
To develop talents in the Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems installation field, with well-founded knowledge and skills pertaining to the suitable application and use of Photovoltaic Systems, by providing them with knowledge in installation, operation, and maintenance of Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems.
