5. Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) Certification this May 2010! ~ 2010-04-26

IPC 610D and 7711/21 - Register now for this extremely valuable Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) Certification !

Synopsis:
Classes are conducted by MIT Master IPC Trainer - Mr. Leo Yang
17-21 May CIT IPC-7711/21 Rework, Modification and Repair
24-27 May CIT IPC-A-610D Training and Certification / Re-certification

A CIT has benefits of being certified to train all CIS in their respective certified subject in their companies. All certifications are conferred by IPC USA.

BENEFITS for the company:
Companies with niche application such load boards (ATE), or any PCB (Lifts control PCBs, Back Plane system cards), are usually subjected to very expensive faulty PCB boards replacement. In many circumstances, these PCB Boards cost over RM 10,000 or even RM 50,000. A cost-saving solution will be to repair them onsite in the company. However, these repairs are not just normal “through-hole” soldering nor general repairs. Some of these boards are SMT type, with small footprints and demand re-soldered or repaired PCB quality must conformed to IPC standards. These are especially critical to Aerospace, Military and Space industries. Repairs are required to have skills and workmanship.

Upon completion of CIT course, the Trainer will be certified to conducted CIS (Specialists) class for the company and have companies’ key repair centre staff or operators skilled and trained for this important task. This will ensure that the company will have a continuous training program for all incoming new staff or existing staff without extra costs.

9. INSEP SCD08 Completion ~ 2010-03-12

Analog Custom IC Design INSEP SCD08 completion

Shah Alam, March 12 2010:

It was indeed a joyous moment for all SCD08 students who made it through this grueling course after 9 months of full-time study at SHRDC. For the past months, these students have undergone an intensive training that included post-graduate modules from Swinburne University (SUT). These modules serve as invaluable credentials for postgraduate studies exemption under a special program with SUT Masters of Engineering (Microelectronics). These modules include; Semiconductor Physics (Solid State Devices), Technology Management, Reliability and Testing.

The students have successfully obtained OJTs and job placement in various companies in Penang, Kulim and Klang Valley. We like to congratulate students who had stayed on course for the last months, with aspirations, vision, focus and determination to become an Analog Custom IC Designer. They will truly reap the rewards after graduation, for the hard work, time and effort to remain in this highly niche engineering field. It’s not the end of the learner’s journey, but the beginning of a real-world experience and fulfilling the Analog IC Designer’s responsibilities ahead.

Kudos! to all who have finally made it through the last leg of this marathon, and from here onwards, all the best for the future.

Below: The best ADC Layout is awarded based on fulfilling the merits of a quality custom analog IC layout design as specified by Japan’s leading IC Mask company Toppan’s curriculum.
