The SHRDC eDACard is offered to all companies who
fulfill the terms under that of local indigenous electronics firm or SMI in
the area of PCB design or IC design. The eDACard allows companies to
utilize the software at a discounted rate of 50%, as funded by the
government. This flexibility will allow the company to develop PCB design
or IC design work without purchasing the software or making huge investments
in EDA tools. The eDAcard is offered at flexible-terms licenses ranging
from 1 week to 6 months to meet your company’s project requirements. This
system allows you to create and adopt new technologies at minimal risk and
cost. Customers can choose to use the software at SHRDC premises (Shah Alam,
Selangor) or in their own offices as long as the relevant hostid or MAC
address is provided. Technical support is 24 hours direct from eDAcard’s
technical support office.
The flow of the eDAcard use is illustrated:
An example to illustrate the process:
A customer wishes to use the PS3000 Allegro PCB Design
HDL 210 for three weeks. A quotation will be issued by SHRDC, customer will
sign an agreement and issue a P.O. Purchase Order together with the license
request form. SHRDC then bills the customer approximately 30% - 50% of the
total cost depending on the amount. Example, for three weeks usage RM 1,200
of PS3000, an invoice of RM 600 will be sent. SHRDC will apply and
configure the license and they are sent on the start date to the customer’s
email address. At the same time, the customer will install the necessary
software at their premises if this location is off-site (other than SHRDC,
Selangor). At the end date of the license, the remaining payment for the
total costs will be invoiced to the customer.
We have currently several new and emerging SMI companies
who had used this system for the purpose of creating a PCB design project
using Allegro, evaluating the tool software capability Allegro S.I. (Signal
Integrity), IC design verification using backend tools Assura for parastic
extraction and etc. Through these short-term licenses and flexible time, it
helps relief companies the huge amount for EDA investment at the initial
stages of its founding years.
List of eDAcard software license available, pricing range
from RM 400 – several thousands for one week (7 days) and this pricing is
dependent on the Product No and quantity required.
