This course aims to provide a good understanding of advanced PLC features which is supporting HMI interface through Leak Tester application in automation industry. This course will specify the competency required to design and develop HMI with PLC based system namely system architecture definition, system flow chart development, PLC program development, HMI interface & program development and system troubleshooting guide.
The course aims to:
- Demonstrate the common technique and process flow required to design a HMI system with PLC based in Industrial automation.
- Apply the IO selection skill to address the needs of application in HMI system with PLC based.
- Construct a PLC + HMI program for a basic application given by instructor.
- Demonstrate the standard system troubleshooting technique from hardware and software perspective.
Pre-Requisite - Basic mechanical drawing reading skills & some exposure to precision dimensional
TARGET GROUP
The course is intended for Junior and senior Technician, Junior Engineer or Diploma holders
TRAINING METHODOLOGY
For each of the topic covered, the students are first taught the basic concepts, standard design guide for an HMI with PLC based application and its practical implementation are then covered.
Leak Tester PLC and HMI development tools will be used to facilitate the lab practical. Digital Multimeter and Leak Tester kits will be used during the training cycle to illustrate the principles and techniques taught.
