Microsystem-Courses Offered:
1) Semiconductor Chip Design

Program:
- The participants will initially undergo 6 months of intensive training on the related program.
- Upon successful completion of the 6 months technical /essential skills training, work placement to companies will be arranged.

- The participants will be doing hands-on projects using the state-of-art industry based tools.

GRADUATE SKILL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM IN PIPING DESIGN
(Technip Geoproduction (M) Sdn Bhd)
Responsibilities:
- The program is 1st in Malaysia, lead by group of experts from the USA. Designed to equip fresh graduates with knowledge and skills required to be a Piping Designer
- The duration of this program will be One (1) year; consisting of comprehensive technical training at SHRDC (Selangor Human Resource Development Centre) followed by on-the-job training at Technip Geoproduction (M) Sdn Bhd
Requirements:
- We are looking for young aspiring and dynamic fresh Malaysian graduates with Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum or Chemical Engineering
- A minimum CGPA of 2.5 or 2nd Class Lower and above
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English

11. Time-based EDAcard Licensing Project for SMI/SME ~ 09-07-2008
Excerpts from THE STAR - Case Study: Advance Tech taps IT expert from abroad - 30 June 2008.
“Still we persevered and the commercialisation of MAGIC this month is a great achievement for all of us in realising a dream from concept to final product,” he said.
Loi said that thankfully, Advance Tech was now able to collaborate with the Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC) to further enhance MAGIC's features in future up-graded versions.
SHRDC is a non-profit organisation that was funded by the Selangor government to help assist in the development of a pool of talent for the IT, manufacturing and other industries.
SHRDC managing director Tan Beng Teong said the organisation was now providing various sophisticated software to support Advance Tech expansion plans, especially on future models.
“Without SHRDC's support, we would have to buy these expensive software,” Loi said.

There will also be a half-day tutorial on VLSI Architectures for Communications by Prof. Gerald E. Sobelman on the same day.
The tutorial provides overview on baseband architectures and digital VLSI implementations for wireless communications systems. Several different communications technologies will be discussed, including orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, ultra wideband (UWB) systems, multiple antenna (MIMO) systems and software-defined radios.
