Introduction

In the modern globalised economy, possessing the right technical skills and capabilities is only half the battle for competitive advantage. Creating a system that will develop, implement and sustain innovation has become an urgent business need. Thus, more and more companies are looking towards their employees for the X-factor to give them the dynamic edge.

To achieve this, our human capital must be empowered and equipped with the right interpersonal skills. Technical expertise when combined with good people skills across all levels of the organisation would enable a breakthrough in performance.

SHRDC aims to help your organization do just that through our Malaysian Essential Skills Training Initiative (“MESTI”). Our courses are designed to stimulate and encourage the growth and development of individuals to reach their highest potential.

MESTI provides courses under four general areas, namely interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, team building and knowledge management. Our courses utilise experiential learning and focus on the development of inherent personal qualities and people management skills that are relevant to the knowledge-driven technologies.

We believe the success of an organisation very much depends on the collective achievements of the individuals in the organisation. Thus our courses emphasises the person and the team rather than the organisation.  However, the learning is tied back into the organisation’s objectives and business goals so that both the individuals and the organisation are aligned and share the same vision.

We offer Knowledge Management program and also Dr. Edward de Bono’s methods and tools in our courses. Considered the leading international authority on creative thinking, Dr. de Bono’s techniques will assist organizations in cultivating the mindset, environment and competencies needed to promote innovation.

Certification

Upon successful completion of our courses, participants will be awarded a competency certificate. These certificates are awarded by one of the prestigious industry training centres that jointly-developed SHRDC’s courses:
